# Repositories

> Manage Git repository workspaces for eval configurations from the Lightsage CLI.

A repository is a Git repository cloned as the starting workspace for an eval run. It may include a Git URL, ref, subdirectory, framework metadata, and setup instructions.

## Commands

| Command | Description |
| - | - |
| `lightsage repositories list` | List repositories. |
| `lightsage repositories create` | Add a repository. |
| `lightsage repositories retrieve --repository-id <repository_id>` | Retrieve one repository. |
| `lightsage repositories update --repository-id <repository_id>` | Update one repository. |
| `lightsage repositories delete --repository-id <repository_id>` | Delete one repository. |

## List repositories

```bash theme={null}
lightsage repositories list --output-format json
```

## Create a repository

```bash theme={null}
lightsage repositories create \
  --name "API docs repo" \
  --repo-url "https://github.com/acme/api-docs.git" \
  --ref main \
  --framework custom
```

Use `--subdir` when the project lives below the repository root. Repeat `--install-steps` to provide multiple setup commands.

## Retrieve a repository

```bash theme={null}
lightsage repositories retrieve --repository-id repo_123
```

## Update a repository

```bash theme={null}
lightsage repositories update --repository-id repo_123 \
  --name "Updated repo name"
```

Omitted fields remain unchanged.

## Delete a repository

```bash theme={null}
lightsage repositories delete --repository-id repo_123
```
