Best Platforms for AgentRel in 2026: 7 Tools for Agent Relations
Direct answer
Lightsage is the best platform for AgentRel at developer-tool companies in 2026. It's the only tool on this list that measures all four AgentRel jobs on real coding agents: discoverability, preference, usability and agent traffic. Choose Peec AI or Profound for answer engines alone, MCPJam for MCP tool choice, and Mintlify or Stainless to fix what agents read.
How we ranked platforms for AgentRel
AgentRel is the work of getting AI agents to find, choose and successfully use your developer product, the way DevRel does for human developers. Our explainer on what AgentRel is covers the term, and AgentRel vs DevRel covers how the work differs. A platform for AgentRel is software that measures or improves one or more parts of that work.
- The four jobs. Agent discoverability is whether an agent mentions or recommends you when asked an open question. Agent preference is whether it picks you over a named competitor. Agent usability is whether it can complete a real task with your product. Agent traffic is which agents visit your site and docs.
- The axis. How many of the four jobs a tool measures on coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. Tools that measure come first. Tools that change what agents read come after them.
- Evidence. Each vendor's own pages, checked October 28, 2026. Where a page is silent, we write "doesn't document".
- Scope. This list covers tools that do part of the AgentRel job alongside a measurement platform. For tools that track coding-agent recommendations specifically, see our coding agent visibility tools list.

1. Lightsage: all four AgentRel jobs on real coding agents
Lightsage helps developer-tool companies win customers whose AI agents discover, choose and use products for them. It covers 19 platforms: 12 coding agents and 7 answer engines. The 12 coding agents are Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Antigravity, OpenClaw, OpenCode, Hermes, Pi, Kilo Code, Grok and Muse Code, all run as real agents in sandboxes.
Each AgentRel job maps to a product:
- Discoverability: Agent Discoverability runs tracked prompts daily and records, per brand, whether you're mentioned, your position, prominence, sentiment, recommendation strength and citations.
- Preference: Agent Preference runs head-to-heads between you and one named competitor, with 1 to 20 prompts, up to 10 agents and 1 to 20 runs per prompt and agent. A judge records won, lost or tie, and the result is a win rate.
- Usability: Agent Usability has real coding agents run your task against your API, MCP server or CLI. Each run returns pass or fail, a full trace and its errors, with per-agent and per-endpoint scores.
- Traffic: Agent Analytics is middleware for Next.js, Vercel, Cloudflare, Express and Mintlify. It classifies visits as coding agent, browsing agent, bot or human, and attributes signups to agent visits.
The same kind of sandboxed task runs power Devtool Arena, Lightsage's public leaderboard of 150+ developer tools. Its October 2026 batch shows why per-agent results matter: Daytona ties for first on the Claude Code API board at 90, while ElevenLabs leads the Codex API board at 91.
The limitations are real. The Startup plan includes Claude Code and Codex only. Cursor, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode and five more agents start on Growth at $1,000 a month, and coding-agent runs use usage-based credits. There's no free tier after the trial. Lightsage measures and diagnoses, and it doesn't write your docs or answer community threads.
Price (checked October 2026): Startup $100/month, Growth $1,000/month, Enterprise custom. The 7-day trial includes 1,000 credits and every agent, with no card needed (pricing).
Best for: developer-tool companies that want one platform measuring how agents discover, choose and use their product.
2. Peec AI: self-serve answer-engine tracking
Peec AI is an AI search visibility tool for SEO and content teams. It runs your prompts once every 24 hours in the answer engines you select and shows visibility, rankings against competitors and the sources behind each answer. The Starter plan tracks 3 models chosen from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI. Other models, including Perplexity and Claude Sonnet 4 through its API, cost extra.
Peec also covers part of the traffic job. Its plans include agent analytics from CDN and log providers such as Vercel, Cloudflare and Akamai, a crawlability audit across 40+ AI bots, and AI referral tracking.
The shortcoming for AgentRel is coding agents. Peec doesn't document running Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any other coding agent, so it can't show which SDK an agent installs or whether the integration works. Claude and Cursor appear on its site only as MCP clients that read your Peec data.
Price (checked October 28, 2026): Starter $95/month with 50 prompts and 3 models, Pro $245/month, Advanced $495/month, Enterprise custom with up to 13 models (pricing).
Best for: SEO and content teams that want self-serve answer-engine tracking with published prices.
3. Profound: enterprise answer-engine visibility
Profound tracks how brands appear in AI answers for marketing teams. Its Enterprise plan tracks up to 9 answer engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search. It also includes agent analytics built on integrations with Akamai, AWS, Cloudflare, Fastly, Vercel and others, plus an "AI Marketer" agent that runs on credits.
Profound has run Claude Code for research, but coding agents aren't among the engines its pricing page lists. For AgentRel, that leaves preference and usability on coding agents uncovered. Our Lightsage vs Profound comparison goes into the differences.
Price (checked October 28, 2026): a free 7-day Trial with 50 prompts daily on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, then Enterprise at a custom price. There's no self-serve paid plan.
Best for: enterprise brand teams that want the most answer engines in one contract.
4. MCPJam: tool-choice evals for MCP servers
MCPJam is an open-source testing and evals platform for MCP servers, MCP apps and ChatGPT apps. It ships as an Inspector, a CLI and an SDK. Its docs list 16 client configurations and 170+ LLMs. Evals use test cases with expected tool calls, and CI checks can block a pull request when a regression appears.
It has two limits for AgentRel. MCPJam is for MCP only, so it doesn't document testing a REST API, an SDK or a CLI. It also covers only whether an agent can use your MCP tools, and leaves out whether agents recommend you or prefer you. Each client is emulated with a model: its Cursor page says MCPJam "emulates Cursor using anthropic/claude-sonnet-4.5." That gives a fast, repeatable read on tool choice, which is a different test from Cursor's own agent working through a full task.
Price (checked October 28, 2026): Free with 200 credits and 25 eval iterations a day, Team $30 per seat per month billed annually, Enterprise custom (pricing). The Inspector, CLI and SDK are open source.
Best for: MCP server teams that want to check tool selection in CI across many AI clients, starting free.
5. Cloudflare AI Crawl Control: crawler visibility and control
AI Crawl Control is available on all Cloudflare plans. It shows which AI crawlers access your content, lets you allow or block each one, and tracks whether each one follows your robots.txt.
Reporting is organized around crawlers and their operators. A coding agent that fetches your docs during a task doesn't show up as a session tied to a signup, so it answers "who is crawling us" more than "which agents send us customers".
Price (checked October 2026): included in every Cloudflare plan, including Free.
Best for: sites already proxied through Cloudflare that want crawler control without another vendor.
6. Mintlify: agent-readable docs
When you host documentation on Mintlify, its AI-native features send pages to AI agents as Markdown instead of HTML, serve every page at a .md URL, and host llms.txt and skill.md files. Your docs site also hosts an MCP server that users can connect to their AI tools. For AgentRel, this covers the docs half of "be in what agents read".
The trade-off is hosting. You get these features by moving your docs to Mintlify, and Mintlify doesn't test whether an agent can finish a task from those docs. GitBook and ReadMe document similar features if your docs already live there.
Price (checked October 28, 2026): Starter is free with 5 editor seats and includes the MCP server; Pro is $450/month billed annually or $540 billed monthly (pricing).
Best for: teams that want agent-readable docs by default and are open to hosting them on Mintlify.
7. Stainless: SDKs and MCP servers from OpenAPI
Stainless generates SDKs and MCP servers from your OpenAPI specification. Instead of one tool per endpoint, the generated server exposes two: one that searches your docs and one that runs TypeScript code against your SDK. Keeping SDKs and the MCP server generated from one spec means agents read the same operations everywhere.
Stainless needs an OpenAPI spec to start from, and it doesn't measure whether agents pick or use what it generates.
Price (checked October 28, 2026): Free for up to 5 generators, with paid plans above that (pricing).
Best for: APIs described in OpenAPI that want SDKs and an MCP server kept in sync with the spec.
Which platform should you choose for AgentRel?
- You don't know whether coding agents recommend you, prefer you or can use you. Start with Lightsage, because it's the only tool here that measures all three on real coding agents, plus agent traffic.
- Your buyers research in ChatGPT and Google, and coding agents don't touch your product. Use Peec AI for self-serve tracking or Profound for an enterprise contract.
- Your product is an MCP server. Add MCPJam to CI for tool-choice checks, and use Lightsage Agent Usability to see whether Claude Code or Codex finish a full task with it.
- Agents misread your docs or can't find an operation. Fix the source with Mintlify for docs or Stainless for SDKs and MCP servers, then re-run the same tasks to check the fix.
- You need to decide which AI crawlers can read your site. Turn on Cloudflare AI Crawl Control if you're already on Cloudflare.
Frequently asked questions
What is an AgentRel platform?
An AgentRel platform is software that measures or improves how AI agents find, choose and use your product. Some tools measure agent behaviour, such as recommendations or task success, and others change what agents read, such as docs and generated MCP servers.
Does Peec AI track coding agents?
Peec AI doesn't document tracking any coding agent as of October 28, 2026. It tracks answer engines and model APIs such as ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Gemini, and Claude and Cursor appear only as MCP clients that read your Peec data.
Can MCPJam test an API or a CLI?
MCPJam is built for MCP servers, MCP apps and ChatGPT apps, and it doesn't document testing a REST API or a CLI. It also emulates each AI client with a model, so its evals check tool choice and arguments rather than a full coding-agent task.
Is there a free AgentRel tool?
Several tools on this list have free tiers: MCPJam's Free plan, Mintlify's Starter plan, Stainless's Free plan and Cloudflare AI Crawl Control on any Cloudflare plan. Lightsage and Profound offer 7-day trials, and Peec AI starts at $95 a month.
Our DevRel team wants to run an agent readiness check. What tool should we use?
To check whether real coding agents can complete a task with your API, MCP server or CLI, use Lightsage Agent Usability, which runs the agents in sandboxes and keeps every trace. If your product is only an MCP server and you want a free first check, MCPJam's evals score tool choice in emulated clients.
